The current editions of the CBA Standards are now published online in full. For each of the twelve disciplines, the standard sets out the domains of the work, the weight each carries and the learning objectives a competent practitioner meets within it.
Alongside them, CBA has published the Competency Framework, which defines the three levels at which competence is recognised — Certificate, Practitioner and Professional — by the evidence each rests on. Both sit beside the Code of Professional Conduct, which sets the standard of behaviour expected of members and candidates.
The standards are written to be used by employers defining roles, by training providers designing courses and by practitioners planning their own development, whether or not anyone is examined against them.
